This is mostly an experiment with vid-cap and Youtube posting/embedding here on the site. Aside from that, this is how it all starts. Whenever I start a new song, I always start with the bass synth. There's no real rhyme or reason as to why I do. I just do. I almost never have any idea what I'm going to end up with either. I just open up a new saw wave, and start tweaking. Which is exactly what I did in this lil' vid. In this case, I'm using Serum, and going with a kind of Drum and Bass, Dubstep, Neurofunk type liquid bass. Kind of. This is a quick look at the process I take. If I had been doing this for an actual track, I would have taken a lot more time, and went into post effects in the mixer. But, we'll save all of that for another video. If you're too "busy" to watch the entire 13 minutes, the original saw wave sound is at 0:38, then you can skip ahead to the finished sound around 12:40. Enjoy.
